Gandhigram Trust, Dindigul, Tamil Nadu was established in 1947 as a model organisation to provide services in Health, Education and Social Welfare, Income Generation activities and Knowledge Management services to the rural community.
Under their Educational services, Gandhigram Trust provides quality education to students from socio-economically deprived sections, especially girls and differently abled children. The Trust runs two Primary schools (Gandhigram Primary School & Dr. T. Over 1490 students study in the 2 higher secondary schools and 100 students are pursuing their teacher’s training education in the Lakshmi College of Education. About 90% of the students studying in all these institutions are from underprivileged sections of the society and are mainly from rural areas.
